Launching Early-Career Academic Pathways in the Mathematical and Physical Sciences (LEAPS-MPS)
The LEAPS-MPS program is designed to enhance the participation of early-career investigators in the mathematical and physical sciences, specifically focusing on those at minority-serving institutions (MSIs), undergraduate institutions, and other institutions that do not traditionally receive high levels of NSF research support.

Eligibility Requirements
Principal Investigators must hold a tenure-track or tenured assistant professor position at an eligible institution, have not served as a PI on a previous federal research grant, and be within the first three years of their first academic appointment.
Who Can Apply
Early-career investigators at minority-serving institutions, primarily undergraduate institutions, and R2 institutions.
Application Instructions
Applications must be submitted through Research.gov in accordance with the current Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG).
